Overall the build went great, very few issues and any of the questions we ran into were easily answered with the instruction manual, such as the maneuverability of the HDD cage. The case comes with more than you’ll need to construct your newest machine, from a plethora of screws (including lots of thumbscrews, which we love) to rubber rails for attachments to cable ties (although there are double the amount of cable ties as there are tie-downs). The interior of the Base 600 gives you tons of space and room to maneuver around with the installation which is great for those with larger hands and less gracious movements. We really didn’t run into any snags in the building process outside what we have already mentioned. Once we fired it up, we didn’t even know it was running, the sound proofing on this machine is ridiculous. You literally have to try to hear the sound.
PRICE AND WARRANTY
The 600 comes in a little heavy on the price scale around $175 for the window version and $150 for the basic with no window. The 800 comes in around an additional $20-$30 for each design. As for warranty you’re going to get three years limited, you can’t really go wrong with that.
FINAL THOUGHTS & ANALYSIS
The Silent Base 600 is an amazing case. It looks good, is easy to work with and Be Quiet you can tell has really put some effort into making this case not only functional but quiet and attractive. Adding a few tie-down points and adjusting the dust filter pop out on the non-window side are a few points we would give to the brains behind the Base 600.
The sound proofing is phenomenal, the ease of installation is unparalleled and all things considered we highly recommend this case. If you’re willing to splurge a bit of extra cash you’re definitely going to be impressed. We enjoyed reviewing this case and think you will to and for that we give it our Editors Choice award!
