Xigmatek Aquila Micro ATX PC Chassis Review

A CLOSER LOOK – INTERIOR FEATURES

17

The interior of the Aquila is pretty simple at first glance. A rather small and seemingly useless CPU back plate cutout, a single cable routing hole and two 3.5″ drive trays up front with side access.

18

The two HDD trays slide in and out easily and both feature a plastic brace on the front to keep the trays in place when there is no drive mounted.

19

The power supply area features four rubber dampers upon which the power supply will rest.

20

Xigmatek has included a 120mm exhaust fan with the Aquila. The fan features a unique fan and housing design but unfortunately the cable is not sleeved. There are also four vented PCI block-off plates.

21

The single 5.25″ bay features mounting holes for screws over a more standard tool-free design. You can also see a block-off plate where a 3.5″ drive tray could be mounted along with three screw holes – but no tray is included.

22

Looking at the right side of the case we see a mounting system for a pair of 2.5″ drives along with a brown box containing all of the mounting hardware and accessories.

24

The top side of the case will hols two 120mm or two 140mm fans as well as a 240mm radiator (with 5.25″ drive cage removal).

25

Looking at it from the top you can see that there is no room to mount anything above the mounting tabs – just below. So trying to put a radiator with a push/pull setup here will be tight at best.
