One of the most highly-anticipated releases for PC, GTA V is the latest installment of Rockstar’s long-running genre-defining open-world shooter, and it is their most graphically demanding title yet! with massive city that’s brought to life with immense detail.
We test on “Very High” with all “Advanced Graphics” and MSAA options turned off with FXAA enabled, at both 1080p and 1440p

Grant Theft Auto V is one of those games that many people will be looking for a new graphics card just to play it alone, and as we can see above: this card delivers. At 1080p, were able to average just below 120FPS, and at 1440p we’re averaging well above 85 FPS, with a silky smooth experience.
Witcher 3
The Witcher 3 is definitely one of the most highly anticipated game releases this year, and as the follow-up to developer CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 2 – which was one of the most graphically intense PC game when it was released – it has some big shoes to fill.
We test on “High” with NVIDIA HairWorks set to “Geralt” only, and post-processing set to “High” with FXAA enabled, at both 1080p and 1440p.

Witcher 3 is a demanding title, it may be the most demanding title in our suite. That being said, we’re still able to average just around 45 FPS at 1080p, with NVIIDA’s HairWorks enabled. Users wanting to more performance may want to disable it, and lower some of the filters.
REPORT ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS
Zotac’s GTX 970 AMP! Omega Core Edition is definitely a great card, especially if you’re looking for something that can play at 1080p and 120+ FPS, as it was able to do so in so many of our tests. It offers solid cooling, and is well-built with a stylish design that isn’t overly flashy.
While pricing is presently a bit high for what it is, we were able to find the Zotac’s slightly higher-end model of this card for a much more reasonable $339, so if you’re interested in buying today, we’d recommend checking that out.
With all that said, the Zotac GTX 970 AMP! Omega offers great performance, and fantastic cooling, and we can easily recommend it for anyone in the market for a high-end graphics card capable of 1080p and 1440p gaming. In fact, we like it so much we’re giving it our Technology X Gold Seal award!
