Corsair H100i Pro AIO Review

Performance and Price

Aida 64 will continue to be our program of choice to keep the standard the same. For the tests we used our Aorus z370 Gaming 7 in unison with our Intel i7 8700k at an ambient temperature of 22°C. Our first test consists of a simple 100% stress test at stock clock levels. Our CPU sat at an average of 47.3°C while the package temp was a little more than 10°C above that. These results are acceptable, however , by no means do they blow us out of the water.

Our second test included an overclock of 4.9 Ghz with a core voltage offset of .520 V. We tested previous to this without the addition of the voltage but ran into a reboot screen. Our secondary results made us quite happy. The CPU sat at a consistent 55.2°C and the package averaged 66.1°C. While the overclock is much more demanding, we see obvious results that when faced with a challenge, this cooler professionally and effectively deals with heat. We love to see the difference between real life sound levels and the levels advertised on the box from testing labs. To our surprise Corsair said they had 37 dB rating and our test was not far off this at 41.6 dB. To your average Joe this is the equivalent of light rain outside. Well done!

The Corsair H100i Pro is available at an MSRP of $119.99 USD.

Enough chit-chat, lets dive right into the hopefully chilly world of Corsair's new cooler.
