Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ATX Chassis Review

EASE OF BUILD & PERFORMANCE

Once you, temporarily, remove each of the side panels and the top, installation is a breeze. This is mainly due to the incredible job that Phanteks has done with cable management.

Once we slapped in the motherboard and power supply, everything else seemed to fall into place. You can probably put a build together faster than normal due to the incredible cable management options.

Maybe, and this is stretching, installation of the CPU cooler radiator may have been the hardest part of the install. We are talking about an AIO unit, which on a good day in any case can be a little bit of a pain to install. So we can’t even come close to docking marks on Phanteks for this.

After putting it all together, we used it regularly and we surprised with how quiet the chassis was. This is largely due to the foam padding or vibration dampers found all over the chassis.

REPORT ANALYSIS & FINAL THOUGHTS

We will go back to our original statement and change it up a little bit – this is the most luxurious chassis we have seen to date. From the gorgeous exterior to the incredibly well-designed interior. We have to give Phanteks a score of 100% on this chassis, without question.

What would we have liked to have seen, there really is much more to add to this chassis. Maybe giving consumers the option to throw in a fan controller or DVD drive, maybe hidden behind that front aluminum panel might be an option. When you think of it though, how often do you actually use the a DVD drive and if this is a sharp looking gaming rig than you don’t need a DVD drive anyways. Oh and when we saw sharp, we are referring to looks and design, we actually sliced open our hand on the bottom of this chassis, so a possible smooth over may be our other request, or free bandaids.

We can’t say it enough, we are overly impressed with this chassis. The build was far too easy and painless, which felt like it took nearly half the time it normally does. For all of these reasons and more we are awarding Phanteks our Editor’s Choice Award!
