Our first benchmark test achieves a total score of 23628, while maintaining over 200 fps in both graphical tests. Our physics test did return with a lower than expected score of 25 fps.

SKY DIVER

3DMARK SKYDIVER SCREENSHOT

The next step up in our benchmark testing series is Sky Diver. This is one of the best benchmarks to sit back, relax and just live in the moment. Watch as a sky diver plummets off of a cliff and traces a mountainside, with speeds quick enough to keep up with a agile hawk. This test is used to benchmark systems with mainstream graphics cards, mobile GPUs, or integrated graphics.

3DMARK SKYDIVER SCORE SINGLE CARD

With the Sky Diver test, the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680 AMP! Edition achieves a total score of 20687. For both of the graphics test the graphics card achieved an average fps of 115.5. Notice in the top right of the results screen, we are given the warning that the ‘Graphics Driver Is Not Approved’. Interestingly enough, this warning was only featured on this test, and the driver was completely up to date.

FIRE STRIKE

3DMARK FIRESTRIKE SCREENSHOT

Lastly is Fire Strike, a graphics-intesive test that pushes your graphics card to the limit. It is highly unrecommended to use this test on anything other than a dedicated graphics card. Watch carefully as the hero fights off a lava guartdian-type villain, and witness massive fight scenes that take place over platforms only feet away from lava. Fire Strike is a DirectX 11 benchmark for higher-performance gaming PC’s and overclocked systems. Fire Strike is very demanding, even for the latest graphics cards.

3DMARK FIRESTRIKE SCORE SINGLE CARD

Put through the intensive Fire Strike benchmark test, the ZOTAC graphics card achieve a total score of 7005 and an average fps of 34. During the test, the card experienced a ton of artifacts, which are small black boxes, colour patches and lines that appear when the graphics card is put through a lot of stress.

Awesome Graphics!

The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680 AMP! Edition is a great option if you are looking to upgrade the graphical performance of your system. Being an older card you may be able to achieve better pricing and will be able to run a cheap, but high quality, multi-GPU system, of course if can manage to get your hands on them!
