Cooler Master Masterair G100M Air Cooler Review

The majority of companies in recent history has been striving to create a product that defies the consumers expectations. Today we will be taking a peek at Cooler Master’s G100M air cooler. We hope that this UFO looking coolers performance will take us out of this world.

Packaging and Contents

Arriving in classic Cooler Master style we find our G100M in a very good-looking black and purple container. Around the outside of the package you can see everything from specs to the new heat column design that we will touch on later. Inside Cooler Master’s packaging we find two pieces bundled in their foam security blanket. The first is the fan and copper column cooler. This cooler comes pre-installed which means that you do not have to fiddle with attaching the fan to a radiator. This should provide the user with an easy build.Second is the package containing all the hardware required. We see brackets for both AMD and Intel here along with many other useful tools.

Specifications & Features

Here we see all the dimensions, a 2 year warranty and fan speed specifications, among other things. What we would really like to shine the spotlight on is the 145mm cooler width.Depending on what motherboard and the height of your RAM, some individuals may run into issues with space management. We also see a max fan speed of 2400 RPM which is pleasantly sufficient and can push loads of air.

The RGB on our G100M is a great addition in terms of aesthetics. There are two ways to control the look of the LED’s on the fan and on the perimeter of the cooler its-self. The first way is an in line controller which can be controlled by hand. The second way requires an RGB input on your motherboard which is manipulated by means of motherboard software.

Cooler Master has added in a new innovation of their own here with heat column technology. Were sure you are asking yourself “What is this?”. This process is a two-phase heart transfer that involves the liquid to vapor phase change of a working fluid. The fluid is transferred by the copper powder filled inside creating an anti-gravity heat transfer. With this kind of alien technology, we cant wait to get this baby installed.
