Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS also included their own software which allows for you to modify the keyboards settings to adequately suit your gaming needs. As we have previously mentioned, the keyboard can be equipped with six different macro keys and modified for three different profiles. To quickly summarize, a macro key is a key on the keyboard that can perform a multitude of functions with a single press. This function is imperative to MMO (massively multiplayer online) games, which often require you to perform a bunch of different combinations.

The keyboard itself features 32KB of onboard memory to store your favourite macros, and this can also be transferred back to the software if you ever changed computers. REPORT ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS

After a few weeks of use, gaming, and typing, we must say that the Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS Challenger Illuminated is a great keyboard, for a multitude of reasons. Surprisingly, after typing this report on the keyboard there was no discomfort or awkwardness experienced at all. Also, this keyboard is very easy to just jump into and start using. Other than quickly checking the user manual for setting the macro keys, this keyboard was basically ‘plug-and-play’. While some may find the fan to be a bit over the top, it really was convenient during game play. There were times where it was not necessary, but it was quickly removed and replaced when needed.

At the time of writing this article, the Challenger Illuminated is available to be purchased for a mere $59.99, which is quite low for a gaming keyboard. Most gaming keyboards can teeter on the $125 mark as their MSRP. We must point out though that the Challenger Illuminated is a phenomenal keyboard, and that the price of the unit does not influence the performance of the keyboard itself.
