TECHNOLOGY X TEST BENCH AND PROTOCOL
At Technology X, we test our memory slightly different depending on the purpose of the product, whether it’s for an entry-level user or if it’s for an extreme gamer. Throughout all of our testing, we ensure that our system has been optimized with our SSD Optimization Guide. Benchmarks of the products we test are that of brand new products. This means that the product has not been used previously, except possibly for some initial testing performed by the manufacturer. The purpose of this is so that we can verify that the manufacturer’s specifications match the product. Additionally, we also try to include links to the benchmarks used in our report so that you, as the reader, can replicate our tests to confirm that your memory is as awesome as it should be!
This Test Bench build was the result of some great relationships and purchases; our appreciation goes to the below mentioned manufacturers for their support in our project. All of the components we use for testing and evaluation can be easily purchased at a relatively affordable price. To test our RAM we’ll use a variety of benchmarking tools and productivity applications including AIDA64 and MemTweakIt. Both of which you can use a free or trial version to test out your memory.
AIDA64 is such a universal and resourceful tool that allows you to dig deep within your system to extract and analyze date for optimal performance tweaking. We opted for the Extreme version, but feel free to use any other version as well. We will be running AIDA63 Cache and Memory Benchmark.
As you can see, the Viper Elite DDR4-3200 scored very well across all copy, write and read tests.
This is an interesting tool that can tell you much about your memory timings, as well as making tweaking them much easier over a simple user interface.
After putting the Viper Elite DDR4-3200 through MemTweakIt’s DRAM Efficiency test, we were returned a score of 63627, a good score for the speed of this memory.
REPORT ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS
After taking a look at the price, specifications and seeing the performance from the Patriot Viper Elite DDR4-3200, it is hard not to recommend this kit to anyone. Whether you are looking for a solid upgrade or starting a fresh build, you really can’t go wrong at $79.99.
Never mind the fact that this is probably one of the better looking memory kits out there! For all of this and more we proudly award Patriot with our Gold Seal of Approval!
