Cooler Master Masterbox Lite 5 Chassis Review

Welcome to the beginning of cold weather, hot chocolate and staying indoors as much as possible. What better way to celebrate the inevitable winter then upgrading your PC. A great idea is to find a chassis that keeps your components as cold as the weather. Cooler Master has graced us with their new Masterbox Lite 5. This mid tower case has ample room for components and a tempered glass side panel to boot. We cant wait to jump right into this brand new chassis.

Unboxing & Contents

Upon receiving the package, we opened the box as quick as you would open a present on your birthday! As is standard, the chassis is enclosed with plastic as well as a foam upper and lower to absorb any shock the package may receive. The first impression we get with the new case is very positive. The whole frame feels very strong and not flimsy. Tools come inside the main compartment loaded with everything you need from standoff screws to instruction manuals. We are unaccustomed to seeing tempered glass on mid tower chassis, however, we think it looks better than a plastic window. All clear plastic and glass is covered by an adhesive scratch guard just in case while unboxing you accidentally nick it.We really liked the customization Cooler Master has thrown into the production of the Masterbox Lite 5. On the front where the IO is located in addition to the underside in the front is three different colored accents. The accents come in either black, red or white. I have a feeling were going to use the white in our test bench. Cooler Master also added in three RGB 120mm fans with one 120mm gloss black fan which means there is no need to spend extra money on airflow.
