Corsair Carbide Spec-04 Mid Tower Review

FINAL THOUGHTS

Corsairs Carbide Spec-04’s overall performance was above average. We really like the open concept and medium amount of customization. As far as mid towers go, there is tons of space available for whatever your needs are. We found the airflow to be exceptional as well as good vent placement. The aluminium and plastic body make the Spec-04 very light. This is appealing as a gamer if you wish to cart your PC to LAN parties or travel long distances with this chassis. There were not very many issues with our Carbide Spec-04 but there were a few. The 3.5” drive bays were too large and could have been put on the top on the opposite side of the 2.5” slots. We would have liked to see another vent located beside the PSU for an extra fan or radiator. A GPU bracket could also improve longevity of the graphics cards. If you are looking for an entry level chassis, simplistic design and a low price of 49$ USD, this is the case for you. Thus the Corsair Carbide Spec-04 had earned a bronze seal.

We cant wait to test the airflow and customization options of this high speed rig. Corsair has also been kind enough to throw in some of their cooling components such as their AIO H60 CPU cooler and two ML 120 Magnetic Levitation fans. 1. Got this case when I had to do a CPU/Mobo upgrade. The shop did the work, but I was a bit miffed when I got back the system as there was no external access for an optical drive or card reader.
